Our History

ICGC King’s Temple is one of the thriving and fast-growing assemblies of the International Central Gospel Church Founded in Ghana in 1984, by Pastor Mensa Otabil, the General Overseer, and now numbering more than 800 churches, the ministry of ICGC is rapidly expanding into Europe and the United States of America. At King’s Temple in East London, you will meet a vibrant family of believers from all walks of life who worship God with joy and in truth; and exalt the Name of Jesus, the King of Kings, because they are consumed with love for Him who died for their sins, and rose up in victory from the dead, to give eternal life to all who trust in Him.

Through the dynamic preaching and teaching of the Word of God, many are experiencing spiritual and divine transformation in their total lives, as by the power of the Holy Spirit, they break free from sin, sickness, financial hardship, depression, emotional instability, and marital conflicts, to enjoy the inheritance of the abundant life of peace and blessings, that Jesus said ” He had brought to the world” In a church atmosphere that promotes fellowship, love, and mutual respect for one another, many are discovering their distinct uniqueness and God-given talents and abilities, and being taught and motivated to rise to their highest potential in Christ Jesus, and to ever greater heights of achievement in their lives.

In King’s Temple, we teach and understand this truth, that Jesus has made all Christians “KINGS AND PRIESTS OF GOD” (Rev 1:6, 5:10) and the reason, is so we might reign over every circumstance of life with his divine authority and power, partake of his blessings and riches as King’s do, and also serve our generation with God’s gift of Eternal Life, through the preaching of the gospel as priests should do. Mission Statement

The Mission Statement of the International Central Gospel Church is: “Raising leaders, shaping vision and influencing society through Christ.” It is our purpose and desire to constantly challenge the world through our life and conduct, to live closer to God’s ideal. As the salt of the earth, we are committed to the preservation of Godliness. As the light of the world, we must transform society through the challenge of a Christ-centred life.

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe… that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  2. We believe… in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, and in His bodily resurrection.

  3. We believe… the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God.

  4. We believe… in salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  5. We believe… in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as a subsequent gift to salvation.

  6. We believe… in the provision of bodily healing in the atoning work of Jesus our Saviour.

  7. We believe… in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved unto eternal life, living eternally in the presence of God, and the unsaved unto eternal damnation.
